Ambassadors Program

Nursing Student Ambassadors (NSA) enhance our outreach to first and second-year students of the BScN Collaborative program at Seneca and Georgian Colleges. They are knowledgeable, resourceful, and qualified nursing students who engage with incoming students to answer questions and concerns as they prepare to transfer to university life and provide information on academic resources and other services available at York.

Contribute to the engagement of students from Georgian and Seneca to York on a weekly basis by answering questions or sharing posts about important dates for students and upcoming College and Club events through NSTAMP social media platforms

Be actively involved in organized events and complete assigned duties to the best of your ability

Assist in organizing, executing, and facilitating club events

Contribute to enhancing and strengthening the NSTAMP Peer Tutoring/Mentoring/Lab Facilitator Program through promotions (e.g. social media, posters)

Sign the NSAY Peer Leader Contract and respect the Calumet & Stong confidentiality agreement regarding all information relating to students/mentees

Professional communication and occasional liaising with college nursing faculty

May assist in traveling to college campuses to provide information regarding York University/NSTAMP services and provide on-campus tours at York University

Ambassadors shall assist with the establishment of peer groups in Seneca and/or Georgian colleges for gap bridging and informative purposes
