Section 1.1. The name of the organization shall be the Nursing Student Tutoring, Ambassadorship, and Mentoring Programs (NSTAMP).

Section 1.2. The objectives of the organization are to:

1.2.1 Assist incoming nursing students during their transition into the three different nursing programs offered at York University - Collaborative, Internationally Educated Nurses and Second Entry.

1.2.2 Provide nursing students with a positive and successful experience during their studies at York University.

1.2.3 Empower the nursing student body as they prepare to graduate and enter the nursing workforce.

1.2.4 Provide support to the nursing student body as the students’ transition from entering the program to graduation.

1.2.5 Initiate programs to reach out to the local and global community, especially in areas that nurses are currently involved such as but not limited to poverty, affordable housing, and global disaster relief.

1.2.6 Coordinate services for nursing students, nursing faculty, and graduate students that will help them achieve a positive and successful experience including tutoring, mentoring, lab facilitation and ambassadors social events.
